Launch of Networked Solar Farm

We have received approvals for our Networked Solar farm, in Walworth County, Wisconsin. Engineering work has begun, and we anticipate first installations in March.

Networked Solar offers consumers the chance to lower the cost of solar electricity by 40-50%. When consumers select Networked Solar, they invest in a Convergence Energy Networked Solar Farm. Solar photovoltaic panels are mounted on tracking arrays, an approach which allows 20-30% more electrical output when compared with typical residential rooftop mounting. In addition, consumers enjoy economies of scale in design, purchasing, installation and maintenance. Because all services are provided, Networked Solar is the simplest way for consumers to get the benefits of green solar electricity.

Networked Solar is a trademark of Convergence Energy LLC.

If the panels are on a solar farm, how does the power get to my house?

In almost all solar electric installations, the power generated by the solar panels goes into the electric grid (the electric distribution system). Power you consume in your home is drawn from the grid. If the panels are on your home, you have two meters, one measuring power you produce, the other measuring power you consume.

With Networked Solar, the only difference is that the power you generate from solar panels (and the meter for power produced) is in another location away from your home. But in both cases (on site and solar farm), you are paid for power you produce and you pay for power you consume.
